Education Funding Without a Tax Increase

Kansas Wins when gaming dollars are recaptured and used to add additional funding maintain and rebuild buildings on state college campus's statewide. Kansans have said they will support limited expansion of gaming over increasing taxes to provide additional dollars for higher education.

HB 2055 would expand the Kansas lottery. The bill is designed to generate up to $200 million every year for regents building maintenance and KPERS retiree's without raising taxes. There are also talks of using some of the money for property tax relief.
